Silence isn't empty — it's crowded with everything you're trying not to think about. The dense dark center explodes outward in white crystalline bursts, restless and searching, while warm sand grounds the bottom like the calm you're still looking for. This is what the inside of a quiet room actually sounds like.

To be honest, I set this painting aside for a long time.  I liked it, but I didn't love it.  Then I found RF Paints Oil sticks, and I went back to this one and added some depth. The white and the darker browns. Once I did that, I knew this painting was finished. It has a lot of depth that you are not expecting, texture from modeling paste mixed with sand.   It truly reminds me of either a dark night or warm sand. Enjoy!
