All the things that stayed inside — the words held back, the feelings compressed into silence — are here, visible in the texture and weight of this piece. The layered pigments feel almost archaeological, like something excavated rather than painted. Two quiet black lines cross through the center like a conversation that never quite happened.
Another favorite, it was one of my first times experimenting with texture. Once the texture dried, I started working with dry pigments and coffee. Yep, your painting will have coffee! It's a beautiful stain. Then I started layering with very neutral colors and rose, gold, and browns. One of my favorite combinations. The lines help draw your eye in. It's just a beautiful, grounded painting with many layers of life and joy.
This isn't a print. There's no edition. This painting exists once — and when it finds its collector, it's gone. The only place it will ever live is in that person's home.
